Impala Lily also known as the Sabi Star.
(Adenium multiflorum}

The plant flowers mainly in June to late September. Flower size +/- 5cm across.

Habitat: Northern KwaZulu-Natal, eastern Mpumalanga, Limpopo, Swaziland, Mozambique and Zimbabwe.

It is a showy flower that is sometimes compared to a miniature boabab.
The plant contains toxins harmful to domestic stock. The toxins are used by the Bushmen as poison for their arrowheads.

Gorgeous photo, the unique flowers are tack sharp, the exposure is spot on and the red of the flower, especially where got a bit of sunshine, is wonderful. Spectacular shadow depth of field as well, and for the whole majestic composition, the chosen point of view is superb, too. Absolutely the photo of the day for me.
