| Intro: | I’ll start with the cliché... I love animals and have since I was a kid watching Omaha’s Wild Kingdom in the 70’s. The photography part came much later in the early 90’s when a friend lent me a camera for my first long vacation to Crater Lake and Mount Rainier National Parks. I took literally hundreds of photos with maybe a couple good ones, but I was hooked. I received my own SLR for Christmas and I started shooting. Luckily for my bank account and all those film processing fees (not to mention the rolls of film I didn’t process), I found digital photography. I now can shoot away! I love to travel to the natural places of the world including over 25 US National Parks thus far. I am actually more of a landscape photographer (maybe because it doesn’t move), but my animal passion always has a solid place in my travels. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area with my daughter. As my member name suggests, I do have a special place in my heart for dogs and currently live with three. It is an easy leap to wolves and I am continually seeking out these elusive creatures. Since I have been the family photographer, actual photos of me is rare alone so hence my youngest dog in the photo. My dear friend, and loyal TN’er Manyee introduced me to this site. Unfortunately, I am not sure if my photography has improved over the years or if I can just take more photos with the digital camera therefore increasing the likelihood there will be one good one. I do hope to learn how to improve my photography and increase the chances that I’ll take good photos... maybe even great photos. I appreciate all the feedback and support. | |
