That little Kestrel comes time to time to rest, or to eat, on my sleeping room window border.
Of course it's also an excellent observatory for her to stake out her hunting yard, having a direct view on the fields.

I had to crawl and to hide to take that shot through the double-glazing window.
Since, I had the opportunity to take some more when she comes back. She was even kind enough to introduce me her boyfriend, so I also had the opportunity to photograph Mister too.

I cropped a little the picture to eliminate the window frame.
Flash prohibited for the shot and no feeding for these wonderful birds.
They are free and wild.
Thank you

Bonjour Claude: Magnifique! Felicitations!! The looking over the shouder view gives this picture a welcome difference from more static bird portraits. Your exposure is perfect. The focus is perfect, being sharp where it counts: eye, beak, and the back near us, then fading softly over the head further from us. And that light in the eye. Very nice unobtrusive background. Good note. You are lucky to have such neighbours! John

Outstanding shot, Claude. C'est formidable. : )
I love everything in it: the pose of the kestrel, the close-up, the sharpness, the light, the colors. What a masterpiece!
Besides the kestrel is one of my favorite birds.
You are so lucky to have this beautiful visitor on your window sill.
Merci beaucoup pour le partage. : )

Merci Claude.

Hi Claude. How fortunate you are to have such a beautiful visitor coming to your window. You got a perfect chance to capture its plumage and the subtlety of the colours. Perfect little hunter. regards. Klaudio.
