I did not see your picture at all and post some kind of roseate spoonbill as well tonight :-)
Your close-up has wonderful colours, I like the dark effects create by the shadows. Composition is very nice too.
Good work again !!!

I see why he is called a spoonbill Scott. And what a prettily coloured bird, I love the varying shades of his pink feathers. Good pose too with him keeping his eye on you. Well done.

Nice and convenient to be able to tuck your beak in for the night that easily! Great capture of this. The workshops were excellent also to allow us to be more familiar with this interesting bird.
Excellent image Scott! The composition and detail is great. It could have benefitted a bit by including it's whole neck on the left in the image, but I would be very happy with an image like this. There is some tweaking possible on the image to make it better in my opinion. I've posted a workshop for you.

Excellent capture with Excellent colors, focus, sharpness, note,POV,DOF and bg.TFS
An excellent POV and well composed Scott. Very good sharpness & detail. The workshop has helped to expose the head detail & improved the shot overall IMHO. Excellent note, Very well done!
Excellent capture and composition to present this wonderful pose, and aptly titled.
On a standard low contrast monitor the head looks much too dark (I peeked a boo -so to speak- on another monitor), while on a 1000:1 contrast monitor (which I at least tried to calibrate correctly, it is difficult to judge) it looks very good with all the details visible, and the shadow situation adds to the peek a boo effect. Mousehill's version is good too, the sharpening has improved the shot (feather detail comes out more), but it seems a bit too light on the colours in the face.

Rare bird on TN I think. It looks like hybridization of flamingo and vulture ;-) I like POV and Spoonbil's pose. Good light, colours and details. Great work Scott!

Great portrait, excellent note!
I think the shot could be cropped even tighter to remove the backgound at all.

Great caprute of the pinks here. The head of this bird looks "similar" to a California Condor. I like the DOF, you have a great talent with putting just what you want to, in focus. I figured you'd put how my head was wrinkled like this in your notes! hehe.
See you on Christmas Day?

I love the way birds nestle their heads into their feathers Scott! :) Evey nice composition and point of view. Excellent detail giving the image, thanks to you much texture. Nice depth of field helping us to focus on the bird and nothing else. Thank you for your comments I don't know much about the Roseate.
