[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A giraffe that feeds on the shoots of acacia trees that protect themselves with long thorns, but this does not seem to be enough against the hunger of the dry season. Also from the Bandia nature reserve, Senegal.

Here at minus Celsius I have to imagine the sweating African climate and here I see the giraffe bow down for the bushes, for a desert people this is strange that how a giraffe bites and eat the sharp stings. This is a beautiful nice catch and TFS.

Ciao Luciano,

ancora a fotografare questi grandi mammiferi.

ciao Francesco

Successful composition with natural colors and the sharpness is spot on.

Hi Luciano
Beautiful pattern of this giraffe.
Some years ago I saw one of these in a zoo, but must be better viewed in the wild.

Hello Luciano
Great shot to see this one very good
lovely colours and good sharpness
thanks gr lou

Ciao Luciano,
Your travel to Senegal was really fruitful, you came home with lots of excellent photos, what you didn't want to share with us. :-) This is again a fantastic one, I love the semi-diagonal line the giraffe's body is forming within the frame, sharpness, colors and lights are all very good, plus the texture of the giraffe's skin is very spectacular. I also like the acacia trees in the background, their bark have similar colors as the South American myrtle species Amomyrtus luma, what I often see here in the local arboretum. So, I have more than one reason why I love this photo. :-)
Thanks for sharing, kind regards, László

Bonsoir Luciano,
