Red Pierrot

[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I had tried my new Nikkor 40mm macro lens on my old and damaged Nikon D200 last year for checking if it worked with it. Surprisingly, even though I was stuck at 5.6 aperture value on the old piece of junk, this picture of a Red Pierrot taken at a shady location turned out to be quite okay. I had shared one picture of this subject here last year and this time I'm sharing another one.

Hi Ram,good experiment with the macro lens on your old camera, only a small part on the top is a bit blurred but the rest is very bright and sharp considering the bad light and the small species. Beautiful red pierrot,i like it! Have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano
Hello Ram,
This specie has amazing colors. The structure and shape of the wings are close to the Common Blue, found here in Europe but with other colors of course...
Marius.
Very nice butterfly and nice sharp image.

Hi Ram
The dof works well here.
Fine details and neat composition.
