A photo from my huge archives. The Scarlet Elf Cup (Sarcoscypha austriaca Boud. (Beck ex Sacc.)) is a very common early spring ascomycota, which was posted here on TN countless times, but probably you didn't get bored of it yet.
Photo: taken in the Curraheen riverside forest near Cork City, in manual exposure mode using diffuse flash (it was one of my first pics where I used diffusor).

Spectacular image of this very brightly colored fungi. Tac sharp focus and presented in an attractive composition. The exposure is perfect, I feel as though I could reach out and touch it through my computer screen. Well done!!
