[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I was setting my camera to capture the fireworks at the Burrard Bridge in Vancouver. Suddenly this seagull came so close to me and sat on the bridge rails. I had to change my lens quite fast without disturbing the bird so that I can get a close up shot. The bird was about to take off when I took this photo. The background is bit messy.

Seagulls are clever and intelligent birds. The male and female pair for life and are attentive parents. The red spot in the beak is supposed to be a sign of fitness in mates. Seagulls can drink salt water and a special pairs of glands above the eyes flush out the salt water.

Hi Bala,the brightness is poor but the pic is very original,a lovely face to face very close to this seagull,original post and colorful background,i like it! Have a nice Sunday and thanks,Luciano
