One of the more beautiful birds we have visiting year round in our backyard. The Rufous Sided Towhee is approx. the same size as an American Robin, with a much more pleasing song. The scavenge the ground and through low bushes for food, but do fly up onto our deck and see what we are feeding the songbirds. |

Hello Steven,
You are fortunate to have these beautiful birds living so close to you, I photographed my first Eastern Towhee just this past spring. The focus is super sharp and I love the fine facial detail. Nice eye contact and beautiful colors.
