2nd of several photographs taken over the New Zealand Alps after leaving Christchurch enroute to Sydney.

The lake visible in the top left part of the photograph is Lake Pearson which is adjacent to the main road that crosses the Alps via Arthur's Pass. The valley that runs to Arthur's Pass is covered with cloud.

Another superb shot of the Southern Alps John. I've had a few trips to the South Island, beautiful country and views, but I want to do the Arthur's Pass trip one day.
This is good, especially from a plane. Well done.

Another nice shot. I like the wispy cloud in the bottom right. Give a nice effect over the ranges. We stopped at Lake Pearson. Apparently the best palce toe see Crested Grebe, but there weren't any there. Big lake though and would look stunning with snow around it. Keep 'em coming! Look forward to more. Thanks.

Hi again John. Another beautiful study. We drove to Arthur's Pass (from Christchurch) last year--it's very impressive seeing where we were from this pov :)
