The hill’s alive with…the sound of the hallowing wind, flowers and guanacos.

It is very common to see a herd of guanacos glazing along the hills, This is taken on the way back from a hike. After a long day hike in the cold and snow, I just can’t wait to get back to our nice warm hotel room…oh wait, I was too poor to stay in hotel, instead we were camping in the cold. At least back in the camp ground, I could get some hot tea to drink. The mountain in the background is Paine Grande.

Torres del Paine National Park is a Chilean National Park encompassing a mountains, glacier, lake, and river-rich area in southern Chile. The Cordillera del Paine is the centerpiece of the park. It lies in a transition area between the Magellanic subpolar forests and the Patagonian Steppes. The park is located 112 km north of Puerto Natales and 312 km north of Punta Arenas. Bernardo O'Higgins National Park is its neighbour to the west, while Los Glaciares National Park is located to the north in Argentine territory.

Very nice scenery Way Lim

Great picture, not so sure about the framing, at least not for this website, since it takes away our chance to see in more detail

Hello Way lim
Beautiful landscape!
Great contrast between the coloured fields and the blue moutains.

Some over-sharpening might have happened here, Way Lim, but still, it is a beautiful landscape from the mountains of South America.
I love the contrast between colours in the foreground and the greyness of the mountain and the clouds in the background.
I also like the way you have framed the picture very artistically.

Hello, a very lovely mountain scene in the Patagonia region. amping has its' rewards like getting up early to catch the sunrise with camera in hand. Good composition. the colors are not as bright or light as they might be but could easily be fixed.
I always enjoy your photos. They are so well made.
Have a great day,

Fantastic scenery and great photo Way! Very good composition, nice lighting and wonderful colours!

Hello Way Lim.
Beautiful landscape capturing the vibrant colors and guanacos in the wild. The image reminded me of the movie "Sound of Music". Lovely details and well composed shot.

Lovely spotted and executed image Way Lim . In the workshop I am presenting you an option with some corrections of the green colors which seems to move towards the yellow gamut. Hope you like it ...but let me tell you this is an awesome image! Bravo!

Beautiful landscape, very colorful and lively...good composition. tfs.

Hello Way, I like the "pop" you get in this shot of yours. The colour and sharpening of the front flowers and the guanacos really stand out. The mountain with the Jacobs ladder effect from the sun really back this up nicely. It would be interesting to see your processing on this one.

Thanks, enjoyed! John

Hi Way,
really nice photo. Amazing colours. Interesting animals. And of course beautiful mountains in the background.
Thanks for sharing,

Hallo Way
It is so great to see a posting from you again.
This is absolutely beautiful! I wish I could have seen this scenery with my own eyes. It is jam packed with awesome details and one's eye cannot stop to look and look again. Everything is just so right, the snow covered mountain, the lovely colours of the field filled with flowers, the herd of buck, the sky.........A dream place to be. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.

Hello Way,

It's been too long, my friend. I hope you are well :)
What a fabulous capture here! I think this would have made a lovely landscape shot even without the fantastic addition of the herd of guanacos. The light here is very special - soft and nice not to give you harsh shadows in the foreground, yet dramatic to make the sky very interesting, too. The huge mountain in the back is also a wonderful element and somehow integrates the elements and gives them a sense of place.
Gorgeous photo!
Bravo and thanks for sharing.

Hello Way
This is one of the most beautiful landscapes that I have seen in a long time.
You have captured the lighting and color spot on, perhaps over-sharpened a bit.
