[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This picture I shot during my trip near the town Jicin, on a little hill named Zebin.
This is very restless little butterfly. I did not have much chance for a good shot. Finally, I was glad for this one.
Thank you all for your visit and criticism - this is useful for me. Points (smiling) are not important for me :-)
Best greetings.

Family: Nymphalidae
Subfamily Satyrinae
Genus: Coenonympha
Species: arcania

Wingspan: 17-19 mm

Pearly heath (Coenonympha arcania)
Czech name: Okáč strdivkový

There are a number of 'Heaths' in Europe. Like other species of the genus Coenonympha they always settle with their wings closed. Identification is usually reasonably easy, the only possible confusion for this one is with Darwin's heath (Coenonympha darwiniana).
Extension: from the north of Spain throughout Europe, including southern Sweden and Norway (missing only the British Isles), through the south of European Russia, Asia Minor to the Caucasus and South Urals.
One-generation (late May - early August). In recent years, in the warmest areas of a partial second generation (September). Eggs are laid singly on the grass near the bushes, the caterpillar lives in solitary clusters of high nutrient plants overwinter in the fourth instar, pupa is suspended on a stalk.

Hello Milos,
The Coenonympha genus is woolly and not easy to get totally sharp, but this image is. The colours are great with a fine leaf BG in a pleasing comnposition to make this and excellent capture of C. arcania.
Thanks and have a good weekend,

Hallo Milos
A beautiful image of a dainty butterfly with delicate features that is well seen. The furry part on the body as well as the circles is well seen and definitely eye-catching, and especially against the green leave as backdrop it is great viewing pleasure. Thanks for sharing a super macro. Best regards.
