Much better than my photo of this moth. Good details and blurred BG. Very nice colours. Your has got only five spots so this isn't probably six-spot burnet moth ;-)

What acoincident! I posted "circus of nature "and you "acrobate". What an act.

This one is called Zygaena filipenduae, in Dutch St jansvlinder I found in my book.
Very nice detailed picture. (too cropped?)

Hi Joanna,

What a beautiful moth. It looks poisonous, judging by the colours. Do you know if it is? I like the BG, but I would have liked a tiny bit more space to the rear of the moth, and maybe to the top as well? A very nice picture nonetheless.

Great shot of this moth!
Its a Zygaenidae. Now, I think its a Zygaena corsica (Boisduval, 1828).
I did a workshop with it and hoppe you don't mind.
A bit darker, but shows its beauty.
