[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Here's the second of three mummy woodpecker shots from my workplace. I have to show these before baby makes an appearance on TN.
This was also taken at the weekend, so it was nice and quiet. I checked up on them today during my lunch. I got a better view of the chick, which seems quite big. I'm hopefully going to make time to get some more shots before the end of the week.
Until the next woodpecker installment, please enjoy this.
My previous post on this green woodpecker is Here.

Thanks for looking, have a great week whatever you're doing.

A London woodpecker and a Manchester woodpecker were in London arguing about which City had the toughest trees to peck.

The London woodpecker said that they had a tree that no woodpecker can peck. The Manchester woodpecker challenged him and was able to peck a hole in the tree with no problem.

The London woodpecker was in awe. The Manchester woodpecker challenged the London woodpecker to peck a tree in Manchester that no woodpecker had been able to peck successfully. The London woodpecker expressed much confidence that he could do it.

After flying to Manchester and successfully pecking the tree in Manchester, the two woodpeckers couldn't figure out why the Manchester woodpecker was able to peck the London tree and the London woodpecker was able to peck the Manchester tree when neither one was able to peck the tree in their own City.

After thinking for some time they both came to the same conclusion: Your pecker is always harder when you're away from home

Alan, great joke, very nice photo.

The composition is very nice once more.

Excellent pov and blurred bg.

Great pose, good sharp details on the bird, pity about the blur on bottom left. Amusing end to your note. Well doen.

Excellent shot of the stiffy, oops, pecker, opps, bird, oops, woodpecker.
Looking forward to seeing the chick. ;)
Excellent work.

Hi Alan,
What a wonderful shot! The sharpness is exactly on the right spots. Also the colors of the woodpecker are very natural. Complements with this picture, very good!

Wow, Alan, just about to have a vegetable trouble, but at last you managed a great picture. Great pose, colours, pleasant shapness and good BG too. Well done. TFS.

LOL again Alan! You are so classically British with your humor. Wonderful capture of this beautiful woodpecker. The blurry spot in the foreground is a touch distracting but otherwise absolutely spectacular!
