Sphodromantis viridis or African Mantis can be observed in Israel during May-September. This 'visitor' was staying around our house during a couple of months and it was always available for photo sessions.

Hi Ilya,
I love mantid photos and this one files up the screen just right. The the Dof is good but the image is a little noisey. Mantids all ways look so innocent and charming.
