After the first colour of Spring which was yellow it is refreshing to see the blue of the Bugle[weed].

I hope I have the correct ID of this plant < Dutch name "Zenegroen" , where "groen" is "green"... Ask me not why! >

""Ajuga reptans (Blue bugle, Bugleherb, Bugleweed, Carpetweed, Common bugle) is a herbaceous flowering plant native to Europe. This plant is often used as medicinal and ornamental plant.

The bugle has dark green leaves with purple highlights. It is a spreading ground cover that grows in a dense mat. The leaves grow 2-3 inches high but in the spring it sends up 4-6 inch tall flower stalks with many purple flowers on them. ""

Hi Jay

A fine capture of these tiny blue bugles and interesting notes and links concerning the specific plant and the many species in the Ajuga genus.

I like the composition with the in-focus inflorescence on the right and the obscure duplication in the BG. The colours are great and you show these little flowers and the hairy buds with lovely details.

A magnificent shot!
I like so much the capture made of this beautiful blue flower.
We can see it from different angles, in this clear and sharp image.
The tiny round yellow parts of it creates a vibrant contrast.
Very interesting the hairy appearence of the flowers at the top.
I think it's very good the colour saturation and the deep of fied, you got a nicely blurred background.

let me say that this an interesting flower to see and one I'm not sure I've seen before.Good colour and focus for this one,you know that one of these blooms reminds me of an owl sitting back on a lawn chair,do you see the imaginary owl?.Glad to see a new one up Jay,keep 'em coming.As for myself it is getting hard to get much happening in the way of uploads and critiques because time is something I haven't had a lot of as of late.
