[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In the shallows of the Turon River I found this small tree frog called Booroolong Frog (Litoria booroolongensis). It is a rare threatened species that is only found in a few westward flowing mountain streams above 300m along the Great Dividing Range in the central and southern tablelands of New South Wales. Unlike many other tree frogs, this species rarely leaves the cold mountain streams it loves and it is greyish colour gives perfect camouflage amongst the coarse gravels of the streams. The are 45mm long and breed from December to March and was first described in 1961.

Theis is really an excellent shot of this rare Litoria species. Great POV, the background is perfect for separation. I love the silent surface of the water here that enhance the composition MF!

Hello Chris,
Really what a frog!... you've dhot this with a very well selected POV and impressive fill flash managing. You've archieved a beatiful water surface reflection effect, nice details in frog's skins and a surprised eyec contact!... a nice shot, with very relevant elements. Good work MF, TFS, Happy Sunday for you. Jesús

Hello Chris!
I'm sure that for me this is the first time I can see frog of genus Litoria! The genus and species is really new for me.
I like the composition and clarity of this picture. Water reflections of running water add a lot to composition. Clarity and DOF are very good.
Bravo and TFS!
