Hello Mark,
Amazing capture. It's a still but nevertheless it's coming right at you.
I had the opportunity to capture a monitor in the wild and I remember it tried to find a safe haven. So quite an opportunity to capture it in such a way.
And well photographed of course.

Hello Mark,
My goodness, I wouldn't have it on my way...
Excellent picture of a most frightful and archaic creature. Excellent sharpness and a vivid attitude- A great shot indeed!
kind regards
Anne

Hello Mark,
Wat a big lizard! Excellent capture with focus on the head part and the blue tongue. I suppose it is the Yellow-spotted Monitor (Varanus panoptes). It must be very impressive to meet it! Cheers,
Catherine

Hi Mark, Welcome to TN. This is an excellent image with perfect clarity. Having the forked tongue out that moment is a big plus. I have heard these can run up a man in fright if no tree nearby? Very fine contribution. Murray
