SPANGLED DRONGO - Dicrurus bracteatus
 |
|
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This is the Spangled Drongo - Dicrurus bracteatus.
These birds have glossy black plumage, with iridescent blue-green spots, also known as spangles, hence the name, and blood red eyes. They measure 28cm - 33cm in size.
The long, forked 'fish' tail is characteristic, and allows the Spangled Drongo to be distinguished from other black birds similar in size. |

Claudia,
Good detail of the dark subject. The bright lighting around always makes it more difficult etc. I may have preferred to have more space at the head and tail but that is a personal choice. TFS,
