[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I have no idea what type of flower this is, but it was growing beside a path in the Eungella National Park, Queensland. I have a feeling it's a cultivated variety but I like the colours anyway

Pretty star and quite dynamic the way you've positionned it. Great colours and details too.

Pretty flower and very nicely presented - well done. Tim

Very nice composition.

Hi Norman,
Ident wise it looks like an Iris of some sort.
Certainly acording to my brief research the irises as a family are found only in the temperate part of the northern hemisphere, a large number of species being found in and around the Eastern Mediterranean though others are found in N. America. There are also a vast number of garden hybrids.
It is a polocy of the TN site that it is upto the poster of the image to ensure that an image is correct for the site that is to say that it does not fall out side the TOS.
hope this is of use,
it is a very well captured image by the way,if you have any questions please feel free to ask.
