I was working on my new car when this "thing" came flying in under my shirt. After I screamed like a little girl it flew out and into the engine bay. It was so cool looking I had to take the shot. I wa amased at how calm it was with the camera so close. I think it's a moth but I'm not really sure. Enjoy!

A very unusual looking capture, Brian.
Great POV, good detail and color is nice.
I don't understand what the yellow part above his right eye is though, any clues?
Thank you for a most interesting post.

I wish I could give you extra an point for actually admitting that you screamed.... :-D

It is a moth. The antennae give it away. Butterfles [at least most] don't have bizarre "fern like" antennae.
