[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Lagomorpha: Sylvilagus sp. (Cotton-Tail Rabbit)

A number of different species of these small lagomorphs (rabbits) are found in the United States and throughout the world. This particular species was hopping about in the Balboa Park gardens just outside the Botanical Garden. These small prolific rabbits are a major source of food for various small predators (larger raptors and numerous wild feline and canine species). The bunny was in the shade so a flash was necessary which created an exteme Red Eye. Red eye reduced, cropped, and sharpened with APS, CS5.1.

Great shot Mike!
Couldn't ask for a sharper image with beautiful natural colors. Nicely composed with just the right exposure. Well done!!
Looks just like our Eastern Cottontails, although we don't seem to have the large number of rabbits that we did when I was a kid.
