Mosquito on the snow
 |
|
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Hello friends, during our walk this morning with
my pointing dog, I saw and photograph a mosquito
that made small flights on the snow!
I was amazed to see a Mosquito on the snow!
In the WS go view the closer photo of this mosquito.
Photo taken with my new rugged compact
Olympus Tough TG4, in November having lost in
the woods my older TG1 I went and I buy the TG4.
1/160s f/8.0 ISO100 4.5mm (35mm eq:25mm).
Merci.

Hello Asbed,
Only you could find a mosquito in a snowstorm;) Quite unique and definitely an image I have never seen before, especially in the wintertime. Your WS is awesome! Great shot!!
Ron
Hello Asbed,
this what I think is a Trichoceridae, or winter crane flies.
Not often we see this species, I have seen these in Sweden a couple of times.
Merry Christmas

Hi Asbed, one of the most curious pics never seen on TN,very difficult to find a mosquito under 0...ehehe...lucky meeting that you caught in a perfect way with this large view and with the close up so sharp in the WS,well done! I wish you all the best for Christmas and thanks! Luciano
Ciao Asbed, fascinating winter view, mosquito is a good bonus, splendid light, excellent clarity and wonderful colors, very well done, my friend, Merry Christmas and Happy new Year, ciao Silvio
Hi Asbed,
Definitely an exceptional moment to find a mosquito in winter, but from my aesthetic viewpoint the insect's too small to be conspicuous in the frame and the photo's a bit blank. But the WS is perfect, in my opinion that shot should have been posted as main photo.
Kind regards from Ireland, László
