Another cute tarn from a remote area of Coquihalla Country
in one of our more private stomping grounds. There is an old pack horse trail as you can see here to the left. This is one of those special areas where one can roam for days on end and have the entire area to oneself, as we did for 6 days in our 2005 trip. This is a two shot pano taken with my trusty old Olympus Stylus 300.

You chose bravely to show the painting like qualities now. There seems to be this fine line between a photo and a painting.....and if one is cleaver they can come close to that line and enhance the picture as you have done in this one.

....and you opted to be a bit more personal in your notes...giving the picture a feeling of how you felt. I like it enough to save it in my growing collection...for the qualities which I mention, as I do them too....

Bob-Pacific NW Wilderness...

I agree with Bob - this is almost like a painting. Great dreamy colors, good solid composition. :)

This scene has been captured perfectly. I love the POV and DOF. The photo is very sharp as well, and the colours are perfect. I took a look at the large version and decided that it deserves to be a favourite! Well captured!

Hi Tim,
What a special spot to have all to oneself! It is a lovely composition The strong light gives it an interesting, not quite natural quality, which is nice. I am curious as to the dullness in the sky. Did you use a filter? I have noticed that sometimes I get that dullness when I don't think I should...I think it has something to do with filters or combinations of such... especially on digital cameras.
