[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi Friends,

As the end of the year is here, it's always good to look back to the past and to make a summary, what happened, what did we like the most. For me the top experience of the year was our trip to the Canaries in March as this was the 1st time I left Europe and travelled to the tropics - as the Canary Islands, although politically are parts of Spain, geographically belong to Africa (they're on the same latitude as the southernmost part of Morocco). I've seen so many extraordinary things what I never forget, that I wish to return at least once every year. :-)

Photo: taken at sunset, with ISO 80, f/8, 1/640 sec. in manual exposure mode. No PP at all except for re-sizing to the TN standard. Altitude: 480 meters asl.

Hi Laszlo,in fact it is nice to take stock at the end of the year and pleasantly remember the beautiful things that have happened. I am glad that you were thrilled with this trip to the Canaries, discovering new things about natural species. And this sunset photo is like a metaphor for the end of 2019, well played with the silhouette against the light of this truly imposing and spectacular species. Hi Laszlo,

I like the play between the lighted and shadowed areas. The point of view is showing some details of the cactus. The sunset is giving nice colors to the sky. Happy New Year 2020.
