[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi Trekkers,

This time a species new to TN from my last holiday trip to my home country: Crepidotus crocophyllus (Berk.) Sacc., a species which is usually growing in virgin forests and other unspoilt locations, on deciduous trees. In Europe it's uncommon and is apparently having a Southern distribution. As in case of most Crepidotus species, the underside with the lamellae (gills) is more spectacular than the upper surface (see workshop) - at least from the photographer's viewpoint. I found some specimens, the first time in my life, in a virgin beech forest not far from Lillafüred, in the Bükk National Park, on 331 meters above sea level.

Photo: made with f/4, 1/30 sec. and ISO 250 in manual exposure mode. PP: moderate cropping and level adjustment.

Thanks for looking.

Hello Laszlo,
🎊 Congratulation for showing us this beautiful Fungi for the first time. It's always nice to find such new species.
Well captured and well framed. Like out of focus background. Details are very well as well as its colors (how I know colors! I haven't seen this species before in Nature! Just checked a few Google pictures 😉)
Thanks for sharing,
Regards and have a nice weekend,
