Krüper's nuthatch (Sitta krueperi)
I recently traveled to Georgia to learn about bird species that are not seen in Italy. On the first day in Batumi, in front of the Hotel window, I saw for the first time in my life the Krüper's nuthatch (Sitta krueperi). Difficult to photograph, it was always moving among the highest branches of conifers.

Ciao Angelo,sono contento di sapere che sei stato in Georgia,un paese che ho visitato 2 anni fa e che mi ha dato qualche soddisfazione nel campo farfallifero dove ho trovato qualche specie che non avevo mai visto e di cui ho fatto molta fatica a identificare. Vedo che invece a te interessano i volatili e come inizio non c'e' male,direttamente dall'hotel di Batumi,un bel colpo molto nitido nonostante le difficolta' di cui parli nelle note. beautiful...

Good view of this nuthatch in what I am sure is a typical pose, since our are always upside down in the trees as well. You could resubmit cropping a bit more closely to the bird so we see it better, however.
