[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I have captured this "White-Throated Swallow" (Hirundo albigularis) at Marievale Bird Sanctuary.This bird was sitting on a branch facing back to me. I just wanted such a back look from where I could capture its throat and crown color as well as its beautifl blue feathers. It was a cloudy day and you can feel it if you look at bird's eye; not perfect bright catching light.

White-Throated Swallow is a small species in the family of Swallow.
* Length - 14-17 cm
* Colour - Glossy dark blue upperparts and a bright chestnut crown.

Hello Srikumar,
A gorgeous White-throated Swallow captured from a fantastic POV. I always liked the over the shoulder pose, it gives you a great look at the back as well as its facial features. Focus for the top portion appears pin sharp, from the middle of its back down is just a tad soft on feather detail.
Wonderful eye contact with a bit of catchlight is always a bonus. Colors are well saturated yet natural and the exposure is right on the button. The clean blurred BG is great.
It actually reminds me a lot of our Tree Swallows here in Ohio, except for the rusty colored patch just above its beak.

Hello Srikumar,
Beautiful click, magnificent colors, great pose, outstanding focus and eye contact.
Thousand point my friend!

Hi Srikumar,

The bird is well placed in the frame. The point of view is showing the details of the White-Throated Swallow. It is clear and precise. The good luminosity is bringing out the colours. Have a nice day.
