beautiful capture with fine details , good sharp and perfect light ,
nice composition and great background,
Bookmarking to check later. Looks like it flew through some pollen-bearing plants (check out all the pollen on the tail) - makes me, however, wonder if the rufousness of the lores, and rather indistinct supercilium are due to the same. Will have to try and figure out if this is a full adult before analyzing. Will try and look better later.

no matter if it is the right name - it's a beautiful bird. It seems to have pollen of flowers at the tail?!?
Nice pose, very pretty shot, thanks

Endemic to NE Africa... Interesting point...and so is poverty and hunger...and that brings on the flies we see so much in images of young starving children and elders...I think perhaps there is some indirect or even direct connection. Your image and notes give me pause to wonder...I shall study on this..thanks much Peter1!

Excellent capture of this not so frequent bird here.
I like your POV and clear details got on its plumage.
I think the vertical composition works pretty well with all that crossing branches at the background.
Good to have and see a first here in TN.
Congratulations and thanks for share.
My best regards,
Ik weet niet hoe deze vogel heet maar hij of zij staat er goed op.
Mooi pov en dof.
Ondanks sobere kleuren toch veel details in de veren.

It's so nice to be your neighbor - I think this is a first too. Congrats on another first with this Flycatcher on TN. I love it when birds pose like this giving a good profile and view of the rear. Face and feathers look very natural with fine details. A nice diagonal composition.

Very nice close-up of this cute African Grey Flycatcher.
I really like the pose in which you've caught it here - with its head turned over its shoulder and looking at you...this fact makes the picture a bit more personal and adds some feeling to it. Very nice.
That aside, the exposure is well balanced and the natural colors are nice, too.
Bravo and TFS

De focus ligt een beetje op zijn staartje. Er liggen trouwens nog andere bruine zaadjes of zo op...:-)
Mooie pose van een mooie vogel...
Groeten en thank you:-)

Great image with nice over the shoulder pose. I have a question, the orange particles on its tail is it pollen?
Great work Peter thank you.

This is such a fine shot of the flycatcher from the rear. Excellent plumage exposure with fine details perched so well on that diagonal branch. Lovely muted contrasting green background and superb choice of tall framing.
